Swanty is an accomplished Indonesian Artist. Born in Surabaya, Swanty has been actively exhibiting since 1965. This self-taught painter living Bali was an acquaintance of influential Dutch-Indonesian painters Han Snel and Arie Smit. His style relies heavily on Impressionist colour and depth, with a unique, dramatic perspective. He has exhibited Internationally and is represented at Edwin's Gallery in Indonesia. This impressive piece was one of his earliest exhibited works, and reminds me of the work of Antonio Blanco and Roland Strasser.
