Spogis-Erdmanis is a prominent, award-winning Latvian-born Australian Abstract Expressionist. She graduated from the National Art School in 1962 from the Design and Crafts Course, winning the College Medal. She is a printmaker, textile & costume designer, teacher, and painter. She was a prominent artist during the 1960s and 1970s, exhibiting widely in solo and group exhibitions alongside fellow Baltic expats, including Henry Salkauskas, Leonas Urbonas, etc.
