Niazi was a prominent, award-winning Iranian Contemporary Expressionist. He was educated at Kamalol-Molk Art School in Tabriz. His art was steadily exhibited in solo and group exhibitions to the interest of critics and collectors with extensive acquisitions by museums of contemporary art. Niazi is considered one of the Synesthetic Masters. Throughout his professional life he has experimented with many styles from academic and classic styles to modern, until innovating his recognized signature styles fueled by a singular creativity. His background and family are a key inspiration for his paintings. Following immense success in his home country, on the back of countless solo shows at leading galleries in Tehran, he relocated to the USA in the 1970s. Here he held group and solo exhibitions in top galleries including The Beverly Wilshire Gallery in Beverly Hills, California and The International Gallery Florida. During his twenty-three years in America he created significant works and held numerous exhibitions. His career spans six decades, with over 240 important group exhibitions and 84 solo exhibitions in galleries and museums around the world, including Paris, London, New York, California, Florida, & Sydney. This piece was likely acquired at his solo exhibition at Seabird Gallery, Sydney in 1970.
