Kedol Subrata was a famous Indonesian Painter. Apart from being famous for his technical spaghetti painting style, he is also the originator of a number of important logos for the archipelago. Kedol Subrata is no stranger to the world of painting in Gianyar, Bali and even nationally. A number of his works have now also been collected by a number of national and international collectors. Even several national figures have also become collectors of the maestro's work, such as Vice President Jusuf Kalla & President Joko Widodo. Rangda & Barong are two important, opposing forces in Balinese Mythology, locked in an eternal battle between good and evil, articulated in the Traditional 'Barong Dance'. Rangda is the personification of evil; the child-eating, demon queen and leader of witches. She is the incarnation of Calon Arang, a legendary 10th century witch who terrified Ancient Java. Barong is the personification of good; king of the spirits and guardian angel. They are a crucial part of both Balinese culture, art and folklore.
