Jerrold-Nathan was a prominent early twentieth century English-born portraitist who painted portraits of many leading Australian women. He was a regular finalist in the Archibald Prize, and his works are represented in the Art Gallery Of NSW. He was also associated with the tonalist movement, including artists such as Max Meldrum, Clarice Beckett & Percy Leason.
