Ganji is an important, award-winning Iranian Contemporary Painter. She completed a formal art education at the Girls' School of Fine Arts & Behzad Art Academy in Tehran, majoring in painting. She studied alongside several famous Iranian figures such as Bahman Mohassess, Ahmad Shamloo, Sohrab Sepehri, & Gholamhossein Sa’edi, under legendary Persian painter, Mahmoud Farshchian. In the late 1960s she relocated to London, studying art at the acclaimed St Martin's School Of Art & the Chelsea College of Arts, then finally the famous Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Within her studies she incorporated techniques & themes inspired by her Persian upbringing. She returned to Iran, in 1976, & collaborated with the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults as well as curating an exhibition of their paintings & illustrating a book. She then became a prominent & influential art instructor at prestigious institutions such as Alzahra University, Islamic Azad University, & University of Tehran. She has been a member in organizations such as Tehran Cultural Heritage Organization, Contemporary Arts Museum, Tehran’s Jury Memberships Contemporary Drawing, Handicrafts, & Tourism Organization. The Cultural Foundation of Japan invited Ganji to Japan in 1996, to work on the influences of Iranian patterns on Japanese textiles. In 2015 she was honoured with the Order Of The Rising Sun award by the Japanese government for services to the arts. The experience and influence of the Far East changed her output completely in the late 1990s, particularly traditional Japanese Sumi-ink painting and colour schemes. This wonderful ink is a fine example of this period. Ganji’s work has been exhibited around the world. She has had around twenty exhibitions across England, Japan, USA, Germany, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, & Switzerland. Her paintings are an important part of collections in Japan, UK & the USA!! Her works are RARE & sought after outside Iran!!
