Foster was a prominent Australian Mid Century artist and Printmaker. A pioneering figure of abstraction in Australia, Foster was a painter, survey draughtsman and printmaker. She first exhibited in 1971 with Sydney Printmakers, and later participated in shows in Sweden and the United Kingdom. She was also a leading and pioneering female printmaker, specialising in abstraction and textile-inspired graphics. Foster's work is represented in regional galleries in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. This luminous original pastel was exhibited at Beth Hamilton's Gallery in 1992.
