Beuys was a legendary and pioneering German performance artist, installation artist, graphic artist, sculptor and experimental 'Fluxus' artist. He was one of the most influential, important figures in 20th century art. He was best known for works such as 'Fettecke' inspired by the impending arrival of famous Tibetan spiritual leader & philosopher, Sogyal Rinpoche ('Tibetan Book If The Living & Dying'). His broad range of work is based in concepts of humanism, social philosophy and anthroposophy; it culminates in his "extended definition of art" for it's creative, participatory role in shaping society and politics. This was the first exhibition and retrospective of Beuys' work shown in America, and as such is a truly historical artefact!!

The RARE, limited edition, hand-signed exhibition lithograph "Joseph Beuys: Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, 2 Nov 1979 - 2 Jan 1980" (1979) produced by the @guggenheim and signed in a run of ONLY 100 for the solo exhibition of legendary and pioneering German performance artist.
