Bannerman was a respected Scottish artist, sculptor, teacher and production designer. He studied in Glasgow and Paris, and worked as an art teacher and production artist for films before his arrival in Sydney in 1962. A painter, sculptor and teacher, he has exhibited in group shows and entered work in the Archibald Prize.
