Avery is a respected Australian Artist & Ceramicist.  started working in stoneware in 1977 and studied ceramics at Adelaide College of the Arts and Education. He was a well recognised ceramicist before relocating to Brisbane, completing a Fine Art degree, majoring in printmaking (lithography) at QCA. He was head of South Bank TAFE art department until his retirement and a practising artist. He has worked across many different mediums - ceramics, drawing, and sculpture. He has multiple ceramic works represented in the Art Gallery Of South Australia collection!! "Avery's work is technically very good.
