I Made Arka is a respected Balinese Painter. He trained from childhood with traditional artists of Peliatan. While still young he became a curator of Agung Rai Fine Art Gallery, Ubud and a member of the 'Kawindra' artists group associated with ARMA Museum Ubud. As well as exhibiting in Indonesia and internationally, he has instructed developing painters in iconography and technique at his studio at Dukuh Village. His highly diverse styles includes highly detailed traditional styles, spontaneous watercolours and unique 'aquarium' fantasies which demonstrate the fluidity of his line work and delicate sense of colour. One of his early pieces in this style was purchased by former President of Indonesia Ibu Megawati.
